Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your 4 Day Northern Tanzania Safari begins with an early morning pick‑up from your hotel in Arusha. After a short safari briefing, you will drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant population and iconic baobab trees.

Upon entering the park, you will enjoy a full game drive, spotting elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, lions, and a wide variety of bird species. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife year‑round, making it one of the best places for wildlife viewing in Northern Tanzania.

After a picnic lunch inside the park, you will continue with afternoon game drives before heading to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will drive toward Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic gem nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Despite its smaller size, Lake Manyara offers diverse habitats including groundwater forests, open plains, and alkaline lakes.

During your game drive, you may spot tree‑climbing lions, elephants, hippos, baboons, giraffes, and thousands of flamingos along the lake shore. The park is also famous for its rich birdlife, making it a paradise for bird watchers.

In the late afternoon, you will drive to your lodge located in or near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Full Day Game Drive

Day three is the highlight of the 4 Day Northern Tanzania Safari. After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The crater floor is home to over 25,000 animals, including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and the rare black rhinoceros. With its permanent water sources, the Ngorongoro Crater offers some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater before continuing your game drive in the afternoon. In the evening, you will ascend the crater rim and return to your lodge.

Day 4: Ngorongoro – Arusha
